Sometimes new ain't the better

Sometimes NEW and different ain't always good

 

• Immigration - 
  
  
  Illegal is the operative word. Not legal, un legal, ill legal. Whats so hard to understand about the term. 
  
  
  As it applies to immigration.
  
  
  + increases voters (dem's)
  + provides real cheap labor to some industries
   
  - takes jobs from citizens
  - increases welfare
  - increases demand on the medical system
  - increases demand on the education system
  - increases demand on housing (free, of course)

   

• Paper Bags -

  First I remember, we had paper bags at the grocery store. Then the save the tree (tree huggers +) stirred the pot till we went to plastic bags. Seems the story goes, we were killing the trees which were in declining supply and plastic was the future. Now its "bring your own bag" and/or back to paper bags as the tree population is quiet OK. And.... when you burn plastic, it gives off PCB which is not nice to people. There is a never ending supply of idealist that don't seem to be capable of thinking a problem thru before they go off half cocked.

• Death Penalty - 

  In the old days, if you were tried and given the death penalty, you were hung or shot. Then, the complainers of the country decided it was not humane to shoot, with the ensuing noise or hang by the neck until dead. So things started to change. The modern way was to electrocute a little. OK...a lot. In all the world/country a few electrocutions went kinda "not as planned".  A few lit up and some smoked a mite. Then the humane-ites politic'd for a more peaceful way, more humane, less stressing or painful as it were. Along came modern medicine with lethal drugs. i.e. too much of a good thing. Somehow that has not satisfied the do gooders as the cocktail was not stirred but shook a little too much. And... it took too long for them to die and someone detected a frown before they croaked. Drug manufactures did not want their drug used as it was bad for the image, so they would not sell to the hangman anymore. The new most modern idea is: Shooting and Hanging. Seems that failing to satisfy the idealist with all this expense and "understanding", its time to have semi quick/painless death by shooting or hanging.
  
  
  All thought is gone from the reason these people are about to be sent away. They did something to someone that was far worse than what is about to be done to them.

Sometimes an expression is so defining that only one language in known to express the concept well.

Rarely does someone rate the the title.... But, rare is there.
