Quotes about Narcissistic Personalities

Quotes on Narcissism & The Narcissistic Personality Disorder

"In reality, the narcissist loves not anyone, not even herself, but rather falls in love with the 'impression' she makes upon others, and falsely feels love toward those who are most in awe of this 'impression'. Should the object of her love suddenly see through his fake image and find fault or flaw in her 'real' self, she will become outraged and full of disdain, disrespect, and an intense and contemptuous dislike and despite for that person. In a heartbeat her love for that person will become replaced with a loathsome disgust. Her real self has been discovered and revealed."

EXCERPTED FROM 'NARCISSISTS ARE LONELY' with changes. Him to Her. For the object of all these discussions are about HER. The mother and grandmother and great grandmother of my relatives. Bless their hearts as blind as they are.

"Narcissism is an evil that masquerades as good. Like a Pied Piper this master illusionist can lead you to Hell all while making you feel flattered to be chosen to go there. Only when you wake up in Hell do you realize the real evil that existed in his fluted song. By then it's too late; not only have you fallen victim, but most likely you have paid for the flute, as well." ~Tigress Luv

"Pity the poor narcissist. I mean, seriously, who really wants to always be on the 'fake'?" ~Tigress Luv

"Denial is the way we handle what we cannot handle." ~Anonymous

Rememberin Presidents - Prager Zeitung Czeck Republic

We are about to start a new year. Two Thousand and Twelve. Wow!

To my recollection, I've seen Seventy Two changes in the year. Amazing how many I've forgotten, you know, what happened in that year. Eat, Sleep and Work are about the only significant things I can recall. In all that time, every four years the people of this country held an election as to who would be the best leader. THE PRESIDENT of the United States of AMERICA. Boy, what a person must be to deserve that high office in this Republic. Leader of the greatest nation on the planet, chief of the most powerful army, idle to little kids, keeper of the faith, leader of men. WoW, what those folks must be like. Those I remember:

  • Harry Truman - (Give Um Hell Harry)... A simple man with a will of steel. Fired Gen McArthur when he started thinking he was more powerful than the President. Made the decision to drop the bomb on Japan. (not a hard decision at the time). Retired back to his hometown of Independence MO. Was a haberdasher.
  • Ike Eisenhower - General that led the Allies to victory in WWII. Great General, poor President. But he did nothing to hurt us.
  • John F Kennedy - Mostly image. Came from a family line of whiskey runners. Lived two lives. Married for image and position.
  • Lyndon Johnson - Texas country conman. Was in over his head. War on poverty (failed). Got us into Vietnam and didn't know what to do. Hired Robert McNamara for Sec of Defense. A whiz kid. Brilliant beyond words. A military idiot. Got lots of people killed for no reason.
  • Richard Nixon - "I'm not a crook". And he wasn't in the terms of when he served. Had crooks working for him though. Was paranoid. Ended the Vietnam war.
  • Gerald Ford - Got there cause Tricky Dicky resigned. A good man that was clumsey. An unelected President. Wife was a alky, that started a treatment center for boozers. That was good.
  • Jimmy Carter - Georgia Peanut farmer. Liberal & naive beyond words. Iranians captured the embassy folks and he was powerless to get them out. None of our enemies were afraid of him. He was and is a good man... but thats all.
  • Ronald Regan - Possibly the best President ever. When he was sworn in, the Iranians let the embassy people go. Were they scared of Ronnie, you bet your as..Recovered the military back from the Cotter days. When he said he couldn't remember, well he couldn't. He was honest about it. He had the respect and projected the USA well in the rest of the world. Destroyed the Soviet Union. An actor that could Act Like A President.
  • George Bush (Big George) - Military pilot that was there in the blood, guts and beer. Started another Wrong War. Made zillions in Texas. Ross Perot and he didn't like each other but great partners in the undercover world. Should have let Norman Schwarzkopf have his way. Knock off the Iraq army on the road, go into Baghdad, hang Saddam... Tell them. "Start something again, we'll come back"...and go home.
  • Bill Clinton - The teenage President. Did not respect the office. Worst President the military ever endured. Did all he could to wreck the CIA. On exiting AF One, Hillary told the honor guard "Don't stand close to me".... That said a lot. Claimed to be the first Black President. (What a Con).
  • George Bush (Little George) - Tried to correct what his daddy started. Empire building failed as it always does. AF Pilot F-16's. Was ready to get out when time came. He's tired.
  • Obamalamadingdong - Elected by people that represent the worst of America. Racist, idealist, and well, read on.
QUOTE OF THE DECADE:
This quote was translated into English from an article appearing in the
Czech Republic as published in the Prager Zeitung of 28 April 2011.

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of
entrusting an inexperienced man like him with the Presidency. It will be
far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to
restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved
electorate willing to have such a man for their president.. The problem
is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom
of what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind
anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince.. The
Republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a
multitude of Idiots such as those who made him their president."

The Question of the Decade :

"Will the same people (plus illegals) re-elect this mistake?"

Entitlement, in their mind

Narcissism

In clinical psychology and psychiatry, an unrealistic, exaggerated, or rigidly held sense of entitlement may be considered a symptom of narcissistic personality disorder, seen in those who 'because of early frustrations...arrogate to themselves the right to demand lifelong reimbursement from fate.[2]

Narcissists hold unreasonable expectations of particularly favorable treatment and automatic compliance because they consider themselves special. Failure to comply is considered an attack on their superiority, and the perpetrator is considered an "awkward" or "difficult" person. Defiance of their will is a narcissistic injury that can trigger narcissistic rage.[3]

'John Murray (1964) in his/her now classic paper of narcissism and the ego ideal' laid great 'emphasis on narcissistic entitlement and the manner in which this reflects infantile pregenital narcissistic fixations' - something which led in turn to the 'notion of the "narcissistic triad". The narcissistic triad involves (1) narcissistic entitlement, (2) disappointment and disillusionment at the frustration of narcissistic needs, and (3) narcissistic rage'.[4]

Belief in the special, exceptional nature of 'narcissistic entitlement dictates that the patient has a right to life on his/her own terms...Such narcissistic entitlement plays a central role in borderline pathology, since the borderline sees himself as a special person with special rights and entitlements, such that any frustration of these entitled desires tends to undermine and often shatter the patient's self-esteem'.[5]

In the wake of Kohut's self-psychology, a valorisation of narcissistic entitlement might be said to have taken place, as 'the age of "normal narcissism" and normal narcissistic entitlement had arrived...[a] child's right and entitlement that its parents are obliged to proffer at the least the minimum requisite "self-object" soothing...to allow the infant/child to develop a sense of self-cohesion'.[6]

A very merry Un Christmas this year

At first I didn't notice, then it just came to me. While downtown I was aware of how little decorations there were. Inside stores there was either nothing at all or just little things. The hanging from the ceiling stuff, strings of lights, angel hair, tinsel were just not there. This is an indicator, thinks I. Then I look at the families I know and they are having really cutback activities this year. I have not seen a live Christmas tree yet. Its appropriate the sky is crying this year. Kids can't get outside to play with the electric bill they go this year.

Black Friday - or Thursday or Wednesday.... or all day every day..All the "PR" that sales were way up and people were having more confidence in the future may not be true. Wasn't true last year either and they did the same thing. Pump the public up in hopes they will spend money they can't afford. Then after the Christmas day tear up the toys ceremony, they will announce how late arriving data now indicates that this was a poor year for merchants.

The same is true for real estate. We heard how the housing market was turning around and people were buying homes again. Then...boom. Announcement that 2011 was the worst market since data was being kept.. That was in the '60s I think.
Pump and Dump.

I went to the Post Office at 12:40 PM and they were closed from 12:30 till 13:30. And all day Saturday. There is a nitch market coming up for mail delivery and transport. The postal service as we know it is dead. Over bloated. This is a good example of a business that cannot change to meet the demands of the consumer. Government Motors and all the rest. Chained to contracts that were OK in the salad days but an anchor today. Not to keep the boat in place but to drown the surviving swimmer.

Detroit government is a really good example. Downtown Detroit has no money cause all the taxpayers departed and only the gimmie gimmie's remain. Elected graft who gave graft and now its gone.
